Lapras 36/236 · Unified Minds

Unified Minds is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on August 2, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 261 cards. Lapras is 36/236, in position 36 of 261 on this checklist. Before it is 35 Slowpoke & Psyduck-GX, and after it is 37 Snorunt. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Lapras is a Basic Water Pokémon with 110 HP. In the Pokédex this is Lapras (#131), generation 1 (Kanto).

Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this card. The same name is on 656 other cards in the catalog.

Lapras (#131) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 36 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lapras 10/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 40 other cards of Lapras list a different HP.

Mermaid's Call is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may put a Misty's Favor card from your discard pile into your hand. The attack Surf lists 90 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It likes swimming around with people on its back. In the Alola region, it's an important means of transportation over water."

I keep a set binder for Unified Minds, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Unified Minds set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lapras can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
