Slurpuff 154/236 · Cosmic Eclipse

Cosmic Eclipse is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 1, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 272 cards. Slurpuff is 154/236, in position 155 of 272 on this checklist. Before it is 153 Swirlix, and after it is 155 Sylveon. The listed rarity is Rare.

Slurpuff is a Stage 1 Fairy Pokémon with 110 HP. In the Pokédex this is Slurpuff (#685), generation 6 (Kalos). The card says it evolves from Swirlix. In this catalog that name is Swirlix (#684).

Kyoko Umemoto illustrated this card. The same name is on 174 other cards in the catalog.

Slurpuff (#685) has 9 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2013 to 2026. The earliest other card is Slurpuff XY15/211 in XY Black Star Promos (2013). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 110 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Kyoko Umemoto illustrated this one. 8 other cards of Slurpuff list a different HP.

The attack Olfactory Enchantment lists no damage number. The cost is Fairy. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Confused. Sweet Panic is another attack lists 110 damage. The cost is Fairy. If your opponent's Active Pokémon isn't Confused, this attack does nothing. Weakness is Metal ×2. Resistance is Darkness -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It can distinguish the faintest of scents. It puts its sensitive sense of smell to use by helping pastry chefs in their work."

I keep a set binder for Cosmic Eclipse, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Cosmic Eclipse set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Slurpuff can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). I still need this card.
