Gallade 244/236 · Cosmic Eclipse

Cosmic Eclipse is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 1, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 272 cards. Gallade is 244/236, in position 245 of 272 on this checklist. Before it is 243 Koffing, and after it is 245 Mimikyu. The collector number is above the printed set size of 236. The listed rarity is Rare Secret.

Gallade is a Stage 2 Psychic Pokémon with 160 HP. In the Pokédex this is Gallade (#475), generation 4 (Sinnoh). The card says it evolves from Kirlia. In this catalog that name is Kirlia (#281).

Huang Tzu En illustrated Gallade, and no other card in this catalog uses that name.

Gallade (#475) has 19 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Gallade 6/132 in Secret Wonders (2007). That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Secret. Daisuke Ito illustrated that card, and Huang Tzu En illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Gallade list a different HP.

Double Type is listed as Ability. As long as this Pokémon is in play, it is Psychic and Fighting type. The attack Power Cyclone lists 120 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. Move an Energy from this Pokémon to 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Because it can sense what its foe is thinking, its attacks burst out first, fast, and fierce."

I keep a set binder for Cosmic Eclipse, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Cosmic Eclipse set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Gallade can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
