Pyroar 37/236 · Cosmic Eclipse

Cosmic Eclipse is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on November 1, 2019. The printed size is 236. This checklist is longer, at 272 cards. Pyroar is 37/236, in position 37 of 272 on this checklist. Before it is 36 Litleo, and after it is 38 Blastoise & Piplup-GX. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Pyroar is a Stage 1 Fire Pokémon with 130 HP. In the Pokédex this is Pyroar (#668), generation 6 (Kalos). The card says it evolves from Litleo. In this catalog that name is Litleo (#667).

KEIICHIRO ITO illustrated this card. The same name is on 50 other cards in the catalog.

Pyroar (#668) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2013 to 2026. The earliest other card is Pyroar XY26/211 in XY Black Star Promos (2013). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and KEIICHIRO ITO illustrated this one. 12 other cards of Pyroar list a different HP.

The attack Swirling Inferno lists 70 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Colorless. Discard all Pokémon Tool cards and Special Energy from each of your opponent's Pokémon. Heat Blast is another attack lists 140 damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Fire, Colorless. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "The males are usually lazy, but when attacked by a strong foe, a male will protect its friends with no regard for its own safety."

I keep a set binder for Cosmic Eclipse, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Cosmic Eclipse set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Pyroar can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). I still need this card.
