Victreebel 3/145 · Guardians Rising

Guardians Rising is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 5, 2017. The printed size is 145. This checklist is longer, at 180 cards. Victreebel is 3/145, in position 3 of 180 on this checklist. Before it is 2 Weepinbell, and after it is 4 Petilil. The listed rarity is Rare.

Victreebel is a Stage 2 Grass Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Victreebel (#071), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Weepinbell. In this catalog that name is Weepinbell (#070).

TOKIYA illustrated this card. The same name is on 93 other cards in the catalog.

Victreebel (#071) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Victreebel 14/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and TOKIYA illustrated this one. 14 other cards of Victreebel list a different HP.

The attack Pollen Hazard lists 20 damage. The cost is Grass. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Burned, Confused, and Poisoned. Stick and Absorb is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Heal 20 damage from this Pokémon. The Defending Pokémon can't retreat during your opponent's next turn. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Said to live in huge colonies deep in jungles, although no one has ever returned from there."

I keep a set binder for Guardians Rising, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Guardians Rising set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Victreebel can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
