Solgaleo ◇ 89/156 · Ultra Prism

Solgaleo is Pokédex #791, generation 7 (Alola). Solgaleo ◇ is a Basic Prism Star Metal Pokémon with 160 HP.

Solgaleo ◇ sits at 89/156 in Ultra Prism, position 89 of 178. Before it is 88 Heatran, and after it is 90 Dusk Mane Necrozma-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 2, 2018. The printed size is 156. This checklist is longer, at 178 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Prism Star.

The attack Radiant Star lists no damage number. The cost is Metal. For each of your opponent's Pokémon in play, attach a Metal Energy card from your discard pile to your Pokémon in any way you like. Corona Impact is another attack lists 160 damage. The cost is Metal, Metal, Metal, Metal. This Pokémon can't attack during your next turn. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: ◇ (Prism Star) Rule: You can't have more than 1 ◇ card with the same name in your deck. If a ◇ card would go to the discard pile, put it in the Lost Zone instead. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon is said to be a male evolution of Cosmog. At the activation of its third eye, it departs for another world."

Solgaleo (#791) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Solgaleo-GX 89/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). That card is named Solgaleo-GX, while this one is Solgaleo ◇. That card lists 250 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo GX, and here it is Rare Prism Star. PLANETA illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. 14 other cards of Solgaleo list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Shin Nagasawa. I count 303 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Ultra Prism set binder is where a full Ultra Prism set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Solgaleo can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Prism Star and Star cards. I still need this card.
