Abomasnow 4/131 · Forbidden Light

Abomasnow is Pokédex #460, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Abomasnow is a Stage 1 Grass Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Snover. In this catalog that name is Snover (#459).

Abomasnow sits at 4/131 in Forbidden Light, position 5 of 150. Before it is 3 Snover, and after it is 5 Scatterbug. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on May 4, 2018. The printed size is 131. This checklist is longer, at 150 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Blessings of the Frost is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon during your turn, you may attach a Grass Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Pokémon. The attack Hypno Hammer lists 80 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Asleep. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "It lives a quiet life on mountains that are perpetually covered in snow. It hides itself by whipping up blizzards."

Abomasnow (#460) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2025. The earliest other card is Abomasnow 19/123 in Mysterious Treasures (2007). That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Kazuyuki Kano illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 13 other cards of Abomasnow list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Masakazu Fukuda. I count 471 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Forbidden Light set binder is where a full Forbidden Light set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Abomasnow can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
