Victreebel 3/168 · Celestial Storm

Victreebel is Pokédex #071, generation 1 (Kanto). Victreebel is a Stage 2 Grass Pokémon with 140 HP. The card says it evolves from Weepinbell. In this catalog that name is Weepinbell (#070).

Victreebel sits at 3/168 in Celestial Storm, position 3 of 187. Before it is 2 Weepinbell, and after it is 4 Scyther. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on August 3, 2018. The printed size is 168. This checklist is longer, at 187 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Fragrance Trap is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may flip a coin. If heads, switch 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon with their Active Pokémon. The attack Corrosive Acid lists 80 damage. The cost is Grass, Grass, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Burned. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Once ingested into this Pokémon's body, even the hardest object will melt into nothing."

Victreebel (#071) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 14 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Victreebel 14/64 in Jungle (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Miki Tanaka illustrated this one. 14 other cards of Victreebel list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Miki Tanaka. I count 192 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Celestial Storm set binder is where a full Celestial Storm set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Victreebel can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
