Alolan Raticate-GX 85/168 · Celestial Storm

Raticate is Pokédex #020, generation 1 (Kanto). Alolan Raticate-GX is a Stage 1 GX Darkness Pokémon with 200 HP. The card says it evolves from Alolan Rattata. In this catalog that name is Rattata (#019).

Alolan Raticate-GX sits at 85/168 in Celestial Storm, position 86 of 187. Before it is 84 Alolan Rattata, and after it is 86 Sneasel. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on August 3, 2018. The printed size is 168. This checklist is longer, at 187 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo GX.

The attack Chuck Away lists 40× damage. Discard up to 2 cards from your hand. This attack does 40 damage for each card you discarded in this way. Hyper Fang is another attack lists 150 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If tails, this attack does nothing. Item Maniac-GX is another attack lists no damage number. Search your deck for up to 6 Item cards, reveal them, and put them into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Raticate (#020) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 25 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Raticate 40/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Raticate, while this one is Alolan Raticate-GX. That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 200 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare Holo GX. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 3. 28 other cards of Raticate list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Celestial Storm set binder is where a full Celestial Storm set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Raticate can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Alolan forms. I still need this card.
