Quagsire 26/70 · Dragon Majesty

Quagsire is Pokédex #195, generation 2 (Johto). Quagsire is a Stage 1 Water Pokémon with 120 HP. The card says it evolves from Wooper. In this catalog that name is Wooper (#194).

Quagsire sits at 26/70 in Dragon Majesty, position 26 of 80. Before it is 25 Wooper, and after it is 27 Corsola. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on September 7, 2018. The printed size is 70. This checklist is longer, at 80 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Wash Out is listed as Ability. As often as you like during your turn (before your attack), you may move a Water Energy from 1 of your Benched Pokémon to your Active Pokémon. The attack Hydro Pump lists 60+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 20 more damage times the amount of Water Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This carefree Pokémon has an easygoing nature. While swimming, it always bumps into boat hulls."

Quagsire (#195) has 15 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 15 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2023. The earliest other card is Quagsire 45/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Ken Sugimori illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Quagsire list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ken Sugimori. I count 1,112 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Dragon Majesty set binder is where a full Dragon Majesty set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Quagsire can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
