Darmanitan 9/70 · Dragon Majesty

Dragon Majesty is a set in the Sun & Moon series. It was released on September 7, 2018. The printed size is 70. This checklist is longer, at 80 cards. Darmanitan is 9/70, in position 9 of 80 on this checklist. Before it is 8 Darumaka, and after it is 10 Heatmor. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Darmanitan is a Stage 1 Fire Pokémon with 130 HP. In the Pokédex this is Darmanitan (#555), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Darumaka. In this catalog that name is Darumaka (#554).

Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this card. The same name is on 471 other cards in the catalog.

Darmanitan (#555) has 21 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 16 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Darmanitan 25/114 in Black & White (2011). That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Uncommon. Naoki Saito illustrated that card, and Masakazu Fukuda illustrated this one. 19 other cards of Darmanitan list a different HP.

The attack Heat Assist lists no damage number. The cost is Fire. Attach up to 3 Fire Energy cards from your hand to your Pokémon in any way you like. Darmani-Hands is another attack lists 30+ damage. The cost is Fire, Fire, Colorless. Flip 4 coins. This attack does 50 more damage for each heads. Weakness is Water ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Its internal fire burns at 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit, making enough power that it can destroy a dump truck with one punch."

I keep a set binder for Dragon Majesty, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Dragon Majesty set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Darmanitan can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
