Golisopod-GX SM62/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Golisopod is Pokédex #768, generation 7 (Alola). Golisopod-GX is a Stage 1 GX Grass Pokémon with 210 HP. The card says it evolves from Wimpod. In this catalog that name is Wimpod (#767).

Golisopod-GX sits at SM62/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 63 of 251. Before it is SM61 Tapu Bulu, and after it is SM63 Salazzle-GX. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack First Impression lists 30+ damage. The cost is Grass. If this Pokémon was on the Bench and became your Active Pokémon this turn, this attack does 90 more damage. Armor Press is another attack lists 100 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. During your opponent's next turn, this Pokémon takes 20 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). Crossing Cut-GX is another attack lists 150 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless, Colorless. Switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. (You can't use more than 1 GX attack in a game.) Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Pokémon-GX rule: When your Pokémon-GX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Golisopod (#768) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Golisopod SM52/248 in SM Black Star Promos (2017). That card is named Golisopod, while this one is Golisopod-GX. That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 210 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Naoki Saito illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 10 other cards of Golisopod list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Golisopod can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). I still need this card.
