Mewtwo SM77/248 · SM Black Star Promos

Mewtwo is Pokédex #150, generation 1 (Kanto). Mewtwo is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 120 HP.

Mewtwo sits at SM77/248 in SM Black Star Promos, position 78 of 251. Before it is SM76 Pikachu, and after it is SM78 Champions Festival. The set belongs to the Sun & Moon series. It was released on February 3, 2017. The printed size is 248. This checklist is longer, at 251 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

Pressure is listed as Ability. As long as this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, your opponent's Active Pokémon's attack do 20 less damage (before applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Super Psy Bolt lists 100 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Psychic. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "A Pokémon created by recombining Mew's genes. It's said to have the most savage heart among Pokémon."

Mewtwo (#150) has 88 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 42 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Mewtwo 10/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 120 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 2. 80 other cards of Mewtwo list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SM Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SM Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Mewtwo can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
