Scarlet & Violet is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on March 31, 2023. The printed size is 198. This checklist is longer, at 258 cards. Gardevoir ex is 245/198, in position 245 of 258 on this checklist. Before it is 244 Miraidon ex, and after it is 246 Great Tusk ex. The collector number is above the printed set size of 198. The listed rarity is Special Illustration Rare.
Gardevoir ex is a Stage 2 ex Psychic Pokémon with 310 HP. In the Pokédex this is Gardevoir (#282), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Kirlia. In this catalog that name is Kirlia (#281).
Jiro Sasumo illustrated this card. The same name is on 29 other cards in the catalog.
Gardevoir (#282) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 32 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Gardevoir 7/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card is named Gardevoir, while this one is Gardevoir ex. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 310 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Special Illustration Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Jiro Sasumo illustrated this one. 50 other cards of Gardevoir list a different HP.
Psychic Embrace is listed as Ability. As often as you like during your turn, you may attach a Basic Psychic Energy card from your discard pile to 1 of your Psychic Pokémon. If you attached Energy to a Pokémon in this way, put 2 damage counters on that Pokémon. You can't use this Ability on a Pokémon that would be Knocked Out. The attack Miracle Force lists 190 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Colorless. This Pokémon recovers from all Special Conditions. Weakness is Darkness ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is G.
I keep a set binder for Scarlet & Violet, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Scarlet & Violet set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Gardevoir can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Ralts, Kirlia, Gardevoir, and Gallade and Special Illustration Rares. I still need this card.
