Jumpluff 3/193 · Paldea Evolved

Jumpluff is Pokédex #189, generation 2 (Johto). Jumpluff is a Stage 2 Grass Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Skiploom. In this catalog that name is Skiploom (#188).

Jumpluff sits at 3/193 in Paldea Evolved, position 3 of 279. Before it is 2 Skiploom, and after it is 4 Pineco. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on June 9, 2023. The printed size is 193. This checklist is longer, at 279 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Drifting Dodge is listed as Ability. If any damage is done to this Pokémon by attacks, flip a coin. If heads, prevent that damage. The attack Fluffy Breeze lists 60 damage. The cost is Grass. This attack also does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Jumpluff travels on seasonal winds. Once its cotton spores run out, its journey ends, as does its life." The regulation mark is G.

Jumpluff (#189) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 11 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2024. The earliest other card is Jumpluff 7/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Atsuko Nishida illustrated that card, and Naoyo Kimura illustrated this one. 5 other cards of Jumpluff list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoyo Kimura. I count 256 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Paldea Evolved set binder is where a full Paldea Evolved set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Jumpluff can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
