Paldean Tauros 41/193 · Paldea Evolved

Tauros is Pokédex #128, generation 1 (Kanto). Paldean Tauros is a Basic Water Pokémon with 130 HP.

Paldean Tauros sits at 41/193 in Paldea Evolved, position 41 of 279. Before it is 40 Chi-Yu ex, and after it is 42 Magikarp. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on June 9, 2023. The printed size is 193. This checklist is longer, at 279 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Raging Horns lists 20+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 10 more damage for each damage counter on this Pokémon. Aqua Dive is another attack lists no damage number. The cost is Water, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 60 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It swims by jetting water from its horns. The most notable characteristic of the Aqua Breed is its high body fat, which allows it to float easily." The regulation mark is G.

Tauros (#128) has 36 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Tauros 47/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Tauros, while this one is Paldean Tauros. That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Oswaldo KATO illustrated this one. 21 other cards of Tauros list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Oswaldo KATO. I count 84 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Paldea Evolved set binder is where a full Paldea Evolved set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Tauros can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Hisuian and Paldean forms. I still need this card.
