Forretress is Pokédex #205, generation 2 (Johto). Forretress ex is a Stage 1 Tera ex Grass Pokémon with 270 HP. The card says it evolves from Pineco. In this catalog that name is Pineco (#204).
Forretress ex sits at 5/193 in Paldea Evolved, position 5 of 279. Before it is 4 Pineco, and after it is 6 Heracross. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on June 9, 2023. The printed size is 193. This checklist is longer, at 279 cards. The listed rarity is Double Rare.
Exploding Energy is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, you may search your deck for up to 5 Basic Grass Energy cards and attach them to your Pokémon in any way you like. Then, shuffle your deck. If you searched your deck in this way, this Pokémon is Knocked Out. The attack Guard Press lists 120 damage. The cost is Grass, Grass. During your opponent's next turn, this Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Tera: As long as this Pokémon is on your Bench, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks (both yours and your opponent's). The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is G.
Forretress (#205) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2025. The earliest other card is Forretress 2/75 in Neo Discovery (2001). That card is named Forretress, while this one is Forretress ex. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 270 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Double Rare. CR CG gangs illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 20 other cards of Forretress list a different HP.
The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.
Paldea Evolved set binder is where a full Paldea Evolved set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Forretress can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
