Clefable ex 82/197 · Obsidian Flames

Clefable is Pokédex #036, generation 1 (Kanto). Clefable ex is a Stage 1 ex Psychic Pokémon with 260 HP. The card says it evolves from Clefairy. In this catalog that name is Clefairy (#035).

Clefable ex sits at 82/197 in Obsidian Flames, position 82 of 230. Before it is 81 Clefairy, and after it is 83 Togepi. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on August 11, 2023. The printed size is 197. This checklist is longer, at 230 cards. The listed rarity is Double Rare.

Lunar Zone is listed as Ability. All of your Pokémon that have Psychic Energy attached have no Retreat Cost. The attack Wondrous Moon lists 170 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic, Psychic. You may move any amount of Psychic Energy from your Pokémon to your other Pokémon in any way you like. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is G.

Clefable (#036) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Clefable 1/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Clefable, while this one is Clefable ex. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 260 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Double Rare. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Satoshi Shirai illustrated this one. 28 other cards of Clefable list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Satoshi Shirai. I count 50 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Obsidian Flames set binder is where a full Obsidian Flames set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Clefable can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
