Tatsugiri 127/91 · Paldean Fates

Tatsugiri is Pokédex #978, generation 9 (Paldea). Tatsugiri is a Basic Water Pokémon with 70 HP.

Tatsugiri sits at 127/91 in Paldean Fates, position 127 of 245. Before it is 126 Dondozo, and after it is 128 Frigibax. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on January 26, 2024. The printed size is 91. This checklist is longer, at 245 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 91. The listed rarity is Shiny Rare.

The attack Mise en Place lists no damage number. The cost is Water. Search your deck for up to 2 Basic Water Energy cards and attach them to 1 of your Basic Pokémon. Then, shuffle your deck. Curl Up is another attack lists 30 damage. The cost is Water. Put this Pokémon and all attached cards into your hand. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "This is a small dragon Pokémon. It lives inside the mouth of Dondozo to protect itself from enemies on the outside." The regulation mark is G.

Tatsugiri (#978) has 7 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 5 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2023 to 2024. The earliest other card is Tatsugiri 118/102 in Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos (2023). Both list 70 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Shiny Rare. Shimaris Yukichi illustrated that card, and Kagemaru Himeno illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is H, and here it is G. 2 other cards of Tatsugiri list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kagemaru Himeno. I count 656 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Paldean Fates set binder is where a full Paldean Fates set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Tatsugiri can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). Themed lists that include this exact card are Pink Pokémon. I still need this card.
