Dachsbun 161/91 · Paldean Fates

Dachsbun is Pokédex #927, generation 9 (Paldea). Dachsbun is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Fidough. In this catalog that name is Fidough (#926).

Dachsbun sits at 161/91 in Paldean Fates, position 161 of 245. Before it is 160 Mimikyu, and after it is 162 Ceruledge. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on January 26, 2024. The printed size is 91. This checklist is longer, at 245 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 91. The listed rarity is Shiny Rare.

Well-Baked Body is listed as Ability. This Pokémon can't be Burned. Prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks from your opponent's Fire Pokémon. The attack Headbutt Bounce lists 100 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "The pleasant aroma that emanates from this Pokémon's body helps wheat grow, so Dachsbun has been treasured by farming villages." The regulation mark is G.

Dachsbun (#927) has 5 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 3 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2023 to 2024. The earliest other card is Dachsbun 99/198 in Scarlet & Violet (2023). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Shiny Rare. You Iribi illustrated that card, and Sanosuke Sakuma illustrated this one. 3 other cards of Dachsbun list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Sanosuke Sakuma. I count 158 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Paldean Fates set binder is where a full Paldean Fates set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Dachsbun can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). Themed lists that include this exact card are Sweets and snacks Pokémon and Dog Pokémon. I still need this card.
