Morpeko 72/167 · Twilight Masquerade

Morpeko is Pokédex #877, generation 8 (Galar). Morpeko is a Basic Lightning Pokémon with 70 HP.

Morpeko sits at 72/167 in Twilight Masquerade, position 72 of 226. Before it is 71 Heliolisk, and after it is 73 Tadbulb. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on May 24, 2024. The printed size is 167. This checklist is longer, at 226 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Snack Seek is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, you may look at the top card of your deck. You may discard that card. The attack Pick and Stick lists no damage number. The cost is Lightning. Attach up to 2 Basic Energy cards from your discard pile to your Pokémon in any way you like. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It has a small stomach. If it isn't constantly eating the seeds it keeps in its pockets, it will get hungry immediately." The regulation mark is H.

Morpeko (#877) has 36 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2019 to 2026. The earliest other card is Morpeko SWSH012/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos (2019). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and kodama illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is H. 31 other cards of Morpeko list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads kodama. I count 86 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Twilight Masquerade set binder is where a full Twilight Masquerade set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Morpeko can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). I still need this card.
