Crobat 29/64 · Shrouded Fable

Shrouded Fable is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on August 2, 2024. The printed size is 64. This checklist is longer, at 99 cards. Crobat is 29/64, in position 29 of 99 on this checklist. Before it is 28 Golbat, and after it is 30 Absol. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Crobat is a Stage 2 Darkness Pokémon with 130 HP. In the Pokédex this is Crobat (#169), generation 2 (Johto). The card says it evolves from Golbat. In this catalog that name is Golbat (#042).

Nisota Niso illustrated this card. The same name is on 39 other cards in the catalog.

Crobat (#169) has 37 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 26 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Crobat 4/64 in Neo Revelation (2001). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Uncommon. Shin-ichi Yoshida illustrated that card, and Nisota Niso illustrated this one. 25 other cards of Crobat list a different HP.

Shadowy Envoy is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, if you played Janine's Secret Art from your hand this turn, you may draw cards until you have 8 cards in your hand. The attack Poison Fang lists 120 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Poisoned. During Pokémon Checkup, put 2 damage counters on that Pokémon instead of 1. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -30. The regulation mark is H.

I keep a set binder for Shrouded Fable, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Shrouded Fable set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Crobat can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
