Hydrapple ex 14/142 · Stellar Crown

Stellar Crown is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on September 13, 2024. The printed size is 142. This checklist is longer, at 175 cards. Hydrapple ex is 14/142, in position 14 of 175 on this checklist. Before it is 13 Dipplin, and after it is 15 Nymble. The listed rarity is Double Rare.

Hydrapple ex is a Stage 2 ex Grass Pokémon with 330 HP. In the Pokédex this is Hydrapple (#1019), generation 9 (Paldea). The card says it evolves from Dipplin. In this catalog that name is Dipplin (#1011).

Hydrapple (#1019) has 5 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 3 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2024 to 2025. The earliest other card is Hydrapple ex 156/142 in Stellar Crown (2024). Both list 330 HP. The rarity there is Ultra Rare, and here it is Double Rare. 2 other cards of Hydrapple list a different HP.

Ripening Charge is listed as Ability. Once during your turn, you may attach a Basic Grass Energy card from your hand to 1 of your Pokémon. If you attached Energy to a Pokémon in this way, heal 30 damage from that Pokémon. The attack Syrup Storm lists 30+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 30 more damage for each Grass Energy attached to all of your Pokémon. Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is H.

I keep a set binder for Stellar Crown, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Stellar Crown set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Hydrapple can fill a slot in Generation 9 binder (Paldea). I still need this card.
