Greninja ex 41/142 · Stellar Crown

Stellar Crown is a set in the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on September 13, 2024. The printed size is 142. This checklist is longer, at 175 cards. Greninja ex is 41/142, in position 41 of 175 on this checklist. Before it is 40 Frogadier, and after it is 42 Crabominable. The listed rarity is Double Rare.

Greninja ex is a Stage 2 ex Water Pokémon with 300 HP. In the Pokédex this is Greninja (#658), generation 6 (Kalos). The card says it evolves from Frogadier. In this catalog that name is Frogadier (#657).

Greninja (#658) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 17 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2013 to 2026. The earliest other card is Greninja-EX XY20/211 in XY Black Star Promos (2013). That card is named Greninja-EX, while this one is Greninja ex. That card lists 170 HP, and this one lists 300 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Double Rare. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 31 other cards of Greninja list a different HP.

The attack Shifting Shuriken lists 100+ damage. The cost is Water, Colorless. Flip a coin. If heads, this attack does 100 more damage. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is H.

I keep a set binder for Stellar Crown, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Stellar Crown set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Greninja can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). I still need this card.
