Greninja ex 54/102 · Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos

Greninja is Pokédex #658, generation 6 (Kalos). Greninja ex is a Stage 2 ex Water Pokémon with 300 HP. The card says it evolves from Frogadier. In this catalog that name is Frogadier (#657).

Greninja ex sits at 54/102 in Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos, position 54 of 165. Before it is 53 Mew ex, and after it is 55 Kangaskhan ex. The set belongs to the Scarlet & Violet series. It was released on January 1, 2023. The printed size is 102. This checklist is longer, at 165 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Stealthy Shuriken lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. This attack does 40 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Torrential Slash is another attack lists 120+ damage. The cost is Water, Water. If your opponent's Active Pokémon already has any damage counters on it, this attack does 120 more damage. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: Pokémon ex rule: When your Pokémon ex is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is G.

Greninja (#658) has 39 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 18 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2013 to 2026. The earliest other card is Greninja-EX XY20/211 in XY Black Star Promos (2013). That card is named Greninja-EX, while this one is Greninja ex. That card lists 170 HP, and this one lists 300 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and takuyoa illustrated this one. 31 other cards of Greninja list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads takuyoa. I count 64 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos set binder is where a full Scarlet & Violet Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Greninja can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). I still need this card.
