Sandaconda 110/202 · Sword & Shield

Sandaconda is Pokédex #844, generation 8 (Galar). Sandaconda is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Silicobra. In this catalog that name is Silicobra (#843).

Sandaconda sits at 110/202 in Sword & Shield, position 110 of 216. Before it is 109 Sandaconda, and after it is 111 Clobbopus. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 7, 2020. The printed size is 202. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Sand Sac is listed as Ability. This Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Power Press lists 60+ damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting. If this Pokémon has at least 1 extra Fighting Energy attached (in addition to this attack's cost), this attack does 70 more damage. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "When it contracts its body, over 220 pounds of sand sprays from its nose. If it ever runs out of sand, it becomes disheartened." The regulation mark is D.

Sandaconda (#844) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 8 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2020 to 2025. The earliest other card is Sandaconda 109/202 in Sword & Shield (2020). That card lists 140 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Holo. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and nagimiso illustrated this one. 11 other cards of Sandaconda list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads nagimiso. I count 156 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Sword & Shield set binder is where a full Sword & Shield set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Sandaconda can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). I still need this card.
