Galarian Linoone 118/202 · Sword & Shield

Linoone is Pokédex #264, generation 3 (Hoenn). Galarian Linoone is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. The card says it evolves from Galarian Zigzagoon. In this catalog that name is Zigzagoon (#263). The card lists Obstagoon under evolves to.

Galarian Linoone sits at 118/202 in Sword & Shield, position 118 of 216. Before it is 117 Galarian Zigzagoon, and after it is 119 Galarian Obstagoon. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 7, 2020. The printed size is 202. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Night Slash lists 20 damage. The cost is Darkness. Switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched Pokémon. Hammer In is another attack lists 70 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "This very aggressive Pokémon will recklessly challenge opponents stronger than itself." The regulation mark is D.

Linoone (#264) has 12 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Linoone 38/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card is named Linoone, while this one is Galarian Linoone. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and nagimiso illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 9 other cards of Linoone list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads nagimiso. I count 156 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Sword & Shield set binder is where a full Sword & Shield set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Linoone can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Galarian forms. I still need this card.
