Snorlax VMAX 206/202 · Sword & Shield

Snorlax is Pokédex #143, generation 1 (Kanto). Snorlax VMAX is a VMAX Colorless Pokémon with 340 HP. The card says it evolves from Snorlax V. In this catalog that name is Snorlax (#143).

Snorlax VMAX sits at 206/202 in Sword & Shield, position 206 of 216. Before it is 205 Stonjourner VMAX, and after it is 207 Bede. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 7, 2020. The printed size is 202. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The collector number is above the printed set size of 202. The listed rarity is Rare Rainbow.

The attack G-Max Fall lists 60+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. This attack does 30 more damage for each of your Benched Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The card text says: VMAX rule: When your Pokémon VMAX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

Snorlax (#143) has 55 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 43 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Snorlax 11/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Snorlax, while this one is Snorlax VMAX. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 340 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Rainbow. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and aky CG Works illustrated this one. 54 other cards of Snorlax list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads aky CG Works. I count 163 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Sword & Shield set binder is where a full Sword & Shield set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Snorlax can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Snorlax and Munchlax and VMAX cards. I still need this card.
