Lapras 48/202 · Sword & Shield

Lapras is Pokédex #131, generation 1 (Kanto). Lapras is a Basic Water Pokémon with 130 HP.

Lapras sits at 48/202 in Sword & Shield, position 48 of 216. Before it is 47 Seaking, and after it is 49 Lapras V. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 7, 2020. The printed size is 202. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Aqua Wash lists 70 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water, Water. You may put 2 Energy attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon into their hand. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "A smart and kindhearted Pokémon, it glides across the surface of the sea while its beautiful song echoes around it." The regulation mark is D.

Lapras (#131) has 49 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 37 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Lapras 10/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Kazuma Koda illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 3. 42 other cards of Lapras list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kazuma Koda. I count 13 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Sword & Shield set binder is where a full Sword & Shield set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Lapras can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
