Hisuian Overqwil 91/189 · Astral Radiance

Overqwil is Pokédex #904, generation 8 (Galar). Hisuian Overqwil is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Hisuian Qwilfish. In this catalog that name is Qwilfish (#211).

Hisuian Overqwil sits at 91/189 in Astral Radiance, position 91 of 216. Before it is 90 Hisuian Overqwil, and after it is 92 Hisuian Sneasel. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on May 27, 2022. The printed size is 189. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Dirty Press lists 30+ damage. The cost is Darkness. If you have at least 3 Darkness Energy in play, this attack does 90 more damage. Pierce is another attack lists 70 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Its lancelike spikes and savage temperament have earned it the nickname "sea fiend." It slurps up poison to nourish itself." The regulation mark is F.

Overqwil (#904) has 1 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 1 set. The other dated printings are from 2022. The earliest other card is Hisuian Overqwil 90/189 in Astral Radiance (2022). Both list 130 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare. AKIRA EGAWA illustrated that card, and Anesaki Dynamic illustrated this one.

The illustrator line reads Anesaki Dynamic. I count 134 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Astral Radiance set binder is where a full Astral Radiance set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Overqwil can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Hisuian and Paldean forms. I still need this card.
