Silver Tempest is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 11, 2022. The printed size is 195. This checklist is longer, at 215 cards. Palossand is a Stage 1 Fighting Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Palossand (#770), generation 7 (Alola). The card says it evolves from Sandygast. In this catalog that name is Sandygast (#769).

sui illustrated this card. The same name is on 194 other cards in the catalog.

Palossand (#770) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 9 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2024. The earliest other card is Palossand 75/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). That card lists 130 HP, and this one lists 140 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Uncommon. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and sui illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 4, and here it is 3. 7 other cards of Palossand list a different HP.

The attack Sandpot Trap lists no damage number. The cost is Fighting. This attack does 30 damage to each of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Land Crush is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Fighting, Fighting, Colorless. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "Palossand is known as the Beach Nightmare. It pulls its prey down into the sand by controlling the sand itself, and then it sucks out their souls." The regulation mark is F.

I keep a set binder for Silver Tempest, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Silver Tempest set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Palossand can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Beach and shore Pokémon. I still need this card.
