Morpeko 116/195 · Silver Tempest

Morpeko is Pokédex #877, generation 8 (Galar). Morpeko is a Basic Darkness Pokémon with 60 HP.

Morpeko sits at 116/195 in Silver Tempest, position 116 of 215. Before it is 115 Toxapex, and after it is 117 Beldum. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 11, 2022. The printed size is 195. This checklist is longer, at 215 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

The attack Peko Blaster lists no damage number. The cost is Lightning. You can use this attack only if 1 of your Dedenne used Dede-Short during your last turn. This attack does 60 damage to each of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Intense hunger drives it to extremes of violence, and the electricity in its cheek sacs has converted into a Dark-type energy." The regulation mark is F.

Morpeko (#877) has 36 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2019 to 2026. The earliest other card is Morpeko SWSH012/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos (2019). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 60 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and nagimiso illustrated this one. The regulation mark there is D, and here it is F. 36 other cards of Morpeko list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads nagimiso. I count 156 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Silver Tempest set binder is where a full Silver Tempest set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Morpeko can fill a slot in Generation 8 binder (Galar). Themed lists that include this exact card are Pikachu's friends and Dedenne and Morpeko. I still need this card.
