Aggron 123/189 · Darkness Ablaze

Aggron is Pokédex #306, generation 3 (Hoenn). Aggron is a Stage 2 Metal Pokémon with 160 HP. The card says it evolves from Lairon. In this catalog that name is Lairon (#305).

Aggron sits at 123/189 in Darkness Ablaze, position 123 of 201. Before it is 122 Lairon, and after it is 124 Escavalier. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on August 14, 2020. The printed size is 189. This checklist is longer, at 201 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Sturdy is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon has full HP and would be Knocked Out by damage from an attack, it is not Knocked Out, and its remaining HP becomes 10. The attack Gigaton Stomp lists 160 damage. The cost is Metal, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fire ×2. Resistance is Grass -30. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "While seeking iron for food, it digs tunnels by breaking through bedrock with its steel horns." The regulation mark is D.

Aggron (#306) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2024. The earliest other card is Aggron 1/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card lists 110 HP, and this one lists 160 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Hasuno illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 4, and here it is 3. 23 other cards of Aggron list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hasuno. I count 74 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Darkness Ablaze set binder is where a full Darkness Ablaze set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Aggron can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
