Diancie 79/185 · Vivid Voltage

Vivid Voltage is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 13, 2020. The printed size is 185. This checklist is longer, at 203 cards. Diancie is 79/185, in position 79 of 203 on this checklist. Before it is 78 Xerneas, and after it is 80 Milcery. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Diancie is a Basic Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Diancie (#719), generation 6 (Kalos).

Sanosuke Sakuma illustrated this card. The same name is on 158 other cards in the catalog.

Diancie (#719) has 14 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2013 to 2026. The earliest other card is Diancie-EX XY43/211 in XY Black Star Promos (2013). That card is named Diancie-EX, while this one is Diancie. That card lists 140 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Sanosuke Sakuma illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 8 other cards of Diancie list a different HP.

Sparkle Veil is listed as Ability. As long as this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, any damage done to your Pokémon by an opponent's attack is reduced by 30 (after applying Weakness and Resistance). The attack Sensitive Ray lists 50+ damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. If you played a Supporter card from your hand during this turn, this attack does 70 more damage. Weakness is Metal ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It can instantly create many diamonds by compressing the carbon in the air between its hands." The regulation mark is D.

I keep a set binder for Vivid Voltage, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Vivid Voltage set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Diancie can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). Themed lists that include this exact card are Mythical Pokémon, from Sword & Shield on. I still need this card.
