Crobat V 44/72 · Shining Fates

Crobat is Pokédex #169, generation 2 (Johto). Crobat V is a Basic V Darkness Pokémon with 180 HP.

Crobat V sits at 44/72 in Shining Fates, position 44 of 73. Before it is 43 Spinarak, and after it is 45 Crobat VMAX. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 19, 2021. The printed size is 72. This checklist is longer, at 73 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Holo V.

Dark Asset is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand onto your Bench during your turn, you may draw cards until you have 6 cards in your hand. You can't use more than 1 Dark Asset Ability each turn. The attack Venomous Fang lists 70 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Poisoned. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is D.

Crobat (#169) has 37 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2001 to 2026. The earliest other card is Crobat 4/64 in Neo Revelation (2001). That card is named Crobat, while this one is Crobat V. That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 180 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo V. Shin-ichi Yoshida illustrated that card, and PLANETA Mochizuki illustrated this one. 32 other cards of Crobat list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads PLANETA Mochizuki. I count 131 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Shining Fates set binder is where a full Shining Fates set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Crobat can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
