Decidueye SV003/122 · Shining Fates Shiny Vault

Shining Fates Shiny Vault is a set in the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 19, 2021. The printed size is 122, and the checklist is the same length. Decidueye is SV003/122, in position 3 of 122 on this checklist. Before it is SV002 Dartrix, and after it is SV004 Grookey. The listed rarity is Rare Shiny.

Decidueye is a Stage 2 Grass Pokémon with 140 HP. In the Pokédex this is Decidueye (#724), generation 7 (Alola). The card says it evolves from Dartrix. In this catalog that name is Dartrix (#723).

nagimiso illustrated this card. The same name is on 156 other cards in the catalog.

Decidueye (#724) has 20 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 12 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2017 to 2026. The earliest other card is Decidueye 11/149 in Sun & Moon (2017). Both list 140 HP. The rarity there is Rare, and here it is Rare Shiny. Kouki Saitou illustrated that card, and nagimiso illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 14 other cards of Decidueye list a different HP.

Deep Forest Camo is listed as Ability. Prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks from your opponent's Pokémon V and Pokémon-GX. The attack Splitting Arrow lists 90 damage. The cost is Grass, Colorless. This attack also does 20 damage to 2 of your opponent's Benched Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fire ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "As if wielding a bow, it launches the arrow quills hidden among the feathers of its wings. Decidueye's shots never miss." The regulation mark is D.

I keep a set binder for Shining Fates Shiny Vault, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Shining Fates Shiny Vault set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Decidueye can fill a slot in Generation 7 binder (Alola). Themed lists that include this exact card are Alola starters. I still need this card.
