Galarian Weezing SV077/122 · Shining Fates Shiny Vault

Galarian Weezing, Shining Fates Shiny Vault #SV077

Weezing is Pokédex #110, generation 1 (Kanto). Galarian Weezing is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 130 HP. The card says it evolves from Koffing. In this catalog that name is Koffing (#109).

Galarian Weezing sits at SV077/122 in Shining Fates Shiny Vault, position 77 of 122. Before it is SV076 Koffing, and after it is SV078 Galarian Zigzagoon. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on February 19, 2021. The printed size is 122, and the checklist is the same length. The listed rarity is Rare Shiny.

Neutralizing Gas is listed as Ability. As long as this Pokémon is in the Active Spot, your opponent's Pokémon in play have no Abilities, except for Neutralizing Gas. The attack Severe Poison lists no damage number. The cost is Darkness. Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Poisoned. Put 4 damage counters instead of 1 on that Pokémon during Pokémon Checkup. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 3. The flavor text reads "This Pokémon consumes particles that contaminate the air. Instead of leaving droppings, it expels clean air." The regulation mark is D.

Weezing (#110) has 28 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 24 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Weezing 45/62 in Fossil (1999). That card is named Weezing, while this one is Galarian Weezing. That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. The rarity there is Uncommon, and here it is Rare Shiny. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Kouki Saitou illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 3. 21 other cards of Weezing list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kouki Saitou. I count 652 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Shining Fates Shiny Vault set binder is where a full Shining Fates Shiny Vault set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Weezing can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Galarian forms. I still need this card.
