Gyarados VMAX is a VMAX Water Pokémon with 330 HP. In the Pokédex this is Gyarados (#130), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Gyarados V. In this catalog that name is Gyarados (#130).

Shin Nagasawa illustrated this card. The same name is on 303 other cards in the catalog.

Gyarados (#130) has 56 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 39 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Gyarados 6/102 in Base (1999). That card is named Gyarados, while this one is Gyarados VMAX. That card lists 100 HP, and this one lists 330 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Holo VMAX. Mitsuhiro Arita illustrated that card, and Shin Nagasawa illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 3, and here it is 4. 55 other cards of Gyarados list a different HP.

The attack Hyper Beam lists 120 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Colorless. Discard an Energy from your opponent's Active Pokémon. Max Tyrant is another attack lists 240 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water, Colorless. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The card text says: VMAX rule: When your Pokémon VMAX is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 3 Prize cards. I keep a set binder for Evolving Skies, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Evolving Skies set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Gyarados can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Magikarp and Gyarados, Giant Pokémon, and VMAX cards. I still need this card.
