Jolteon V SWSH183/307 · SWSH Black Star Promos

Jolteon is Pokédex #135, generation 1 (Kanto). Jolteon V is a Basic V Lightning Pokémon with 190 HP.

Jolteon V sits at SWSH183/307 in SWSH Black Star Promos, position 183 of 304. Before it is SWSH182 Vaporeon VMAX, and after it is SWSH184 Jolteon VMAX. The set belongs to the Sword & Shield series. It was released on November 15, 2019. The printed size is 307. This checklist is longer, at 304 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Thunder Spear lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. This attack does 20 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Pin Missile is another attack lists 60× damage. The cost is Lightning, Colorless, Colorless. Flip 4 coins. This attack does 60 damage for each heads. Weakness is Fighting ×2. The card text says: V rule: When your Pokémon V is Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards. The regulation mark is E.

Jolteon (#135) has 38 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 29 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2025. The earliest other card is Jolteon 4/64 in Jungle (1999). That card is named Jolteon, while this one is Jolteon V. That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 190 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and nagimiso illustrated this one. 36 other cards of Jolteon list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads nagimiso. I count 156 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

SWSH Black Star Promos set binder is where a full SWSH Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Jolteon can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). Themed lists that include this exact card are Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I still need this card.
