Raichu 36/108 · Evolutions

Evolutions is a set in the XY series. It was released on November 2, 2016. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 113 cards. Raichu is 36/108, in position 36 of 113 on this checklist. Before it is 35 Pikachu, and after it is 37 Magnemite. The listed rarity is Rare Holo.

Raichu is a Stage 1 Lightning Pokémon with 100 HP. The card lists level 40. In the Pokédex this is Raichu (#026), generation 1 (Kanto). The card says it evolves from Pikachu. In this catalog that name is Pikachu (#025).

Ken Sugimori illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,112 other cards in the catalog.

Raichu (#026) has 70 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 51 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Raichu 14/102 in Base (1999). That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. Both list the rarity Rare Holo. 66 other cards of Raichu list a different HP.

The attack Energize lists no damage number. The cost is Lightning. Attach a Lightning Energy card from your discard pile to this Pokémon. Spark Bolt is another attack lists 70+ damage. The cost is Lightning, Lightning, Colorless. You may discard all Energy attached to this Pokémon. If you do, this attack does 70 more damage. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Metal -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Its electric charges can reach even 100,000 volts. Careless contact can cause even an Indian elephant to faint."

I keep a set binder for Evolutions, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Evolutions set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Raichu can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
