Scrafty 59/106 · Flashfire

Flashfire is a set in the XY series. It was released on May 7, 2014. The printed size is 106. This checklist is longer, at 110 cards. Scrafty is 59/106, in position 59 of 110 on this checklist. Before it is 58 Scraggy, and after it is 60 Forretress. The listed rarity is Rare.

Scrafty is a Stage 1 Darkness Pokémon with 100 HP. In the Pokédex this is Scrafty (#560), generation 5 (Unova). The card says it evolves from Scraggy. In this catalog that name is Scraggy (#559).

Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this card. The same name is on 155 other cards in the catalog.

Scrafty (#560) has 16 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 13 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2011 to 2026. The earliest other card is Scrafty 69/114 in Black & White (2011). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. Both list the rarity Rare. Shin Nagasawa illustrated that card, and Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 15 other cards of Scrafty list a different HP.

The attack Corner lists 30 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless. The Defending Pokémon can't retreat during your opponent's next turn. Jet Headbutt is another attack lists 80 damage. The cost is Darkness, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Resistance is Psychic -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It pulls up its shed skin to protect itself while it kicks. The bigger the crest, the more respected it is."

I keep a set binder for Flashfire, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Flashfire set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Scrafty can fill a slot in Generation 5 binder (Unova). I still need this card.
