Golbat 32/119 · Phantom Forces

Golbat is Pokédex #042, generation 1 (Kanto). Golbat is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 70 HP. The card says it evolves from Zubat. In this catalog that name is Zubat (#041). The card lists Crobat, Crobat (#169) under evolves to.

Golbat sits at 32/119 in Phantom Forces, position 33 of 124. Before it is 31 Zubat, and after it is 33 Crobat. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on November 5, 2014. The printed size is 119. This checklist is longer, at 124 cards. The listed rarity is Uncommon.

Sneaky Bite is listed as Ability. When you play this Pokémon from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokémon, you may put 2 damage counters on 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. The attack Swoop Across lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. This attack does 10 damage to each of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. The flavor text reads "Once it bites, it will not stop draining energy from the victim even if it gets too heavy to fly."

Golbat (#042) has 24 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Golbat 34/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. Both list the rarity Uncommon. Kagemaru Himeno illustrated that card, and Kanako Eo illustrated this one. 15 other cards of Golbat list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Kanako Eo. I count 99 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Phantom Forces set binder is where a full Phantom Forces set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Golbat can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
