Wailord-EX 147/160 · Primal Clash

Wailord is Pokédex #321, generation 3 (Hoenn). Wailord-EX is a Basic EX Water Pokémon with 250 HP.

Wailord-EX sits at 147/160 in Primal Clash, position 147 of 164. Before it is 146 Camerupt-EX, and after it is 148 Kyogre-EX. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on February 4, 2015. The printed size is 160. This checklist is longer, at 164 cards. The listed rarity is Rare Ultra.

Water Veil is listed as Ability. Whenever you attach an Energy card from your hand to this Pokémon, remove all Special Conditions from it. The attack High Breaching lists 120 damage. The cost is Water, Water, Water, Water, Water. This Pokémon is now Asleep. Weakness is Grass ×2. Retreat cost is 4. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

Wailord (#321) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2026. The earliest other card is Wailord 14/109 in Ruby & Sapphire (2003). That card is named Wailord, while this one is Wailord-EX. That card lists 120 HP, and this one lists 250 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare Ultra. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Ryo Ueda illustrated this one. 22 other cards of Wailord list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Ryo Ueda. I count 462 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Primal Clash set binder is where a full Primal Clash set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Wailord can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). I still need this card.
