Carbink 47/108 · Roaring Skies

Carbink is Pokédex #703, generation 6 (Kalos). Carbink is a Basic Fairy Pokémon with 70 HP.

Carbink sits at 47/108 in Roaring Skies, position 47 of 112. Before it is 46 Togekiss, and after it is 48 Klefki. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on May 6, 2015. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 112 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Jewel Armor is listed as Ability. As long as this Pokémon is on your Bench, prevent all damage done to this Pokémon by attacks (both yours and your opponent's). The attack Spin Tackle lists 60 damage. The cost is Fairy, Colorless, Colorless. Flip a coin. If tails, this Pokémon does 20 damage to itself. Weakness is Metal ×2. Resistance is Darkness -20. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Born from temperatures and pressures deep underground, it fires beams from the stone in its head."

Carbink (#703) has 10 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 6 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2014 to 2026. The earliest other card is Carbink 68/106 in Flashfire (2014). Both list 70 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. 5ban Graphics illustrated that card, and Akira Komayama illustrated this one. 9 other cards of Carbink list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Akira Komayama. I count 239 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Roaring Skies set binder is where a full Roaring Skies set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Carbink can fill a slot in Generation 6 binder (Kalos). I still need this card.
