M Latios-EX 59/108 · Roaring Skies

Roaring Skies is a set in the XY series. It was released on May 6, 2015. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 112 cards. M Latios-EX is 59/108, in position 59 of 112 on this checklist. Before it is 58 Latios-EX, and after it is 60 Rayquaza-EX. The listed rarity is Rare Holo EX.

M Latios-EX is a MEGA EX Dragon Pokémon with 220 HP. In the Pokédex this is Latios (#381), generation 3 (Hoenn). The card says it evolves from Latios-EX. In this catalog that name is Latios (#381).

5ban Graphics illustrated this card. The same name is on 1,629 other cards in the catalog.

Latios (#381) has 36 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Latios 15/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card is named Latios, while this one is M Latios-EX. That card lists 80 HP, and this one lists 220 HP. The rarity there is Promo, and here it is Rare Holo EX. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. 35 other cards of Latios list a different HP.

The attack Sonic Ace lists no damage number. The cost is Water, Psychic, Colorless. Discard 2 Energy attached to this Pokémon. This attack does 120 damage to 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) Weakness is Fairy ×2. The card text says: Mega Evolution rule: When 1 of your Pokémon becomes a Mega Evolution Pokémon, your turn ends. The card text says: Pokémon-EX rule: When a Pokémon-EX has been Knocked Out, your opponent takes 2 Prize cards.

I keep a set binder for Roaring Skies, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the Roaring Skies set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Latios can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Latias and Latios. I still need this card.
