Skarmory 69/108 · Roaring Skies

Skarmory is Pokédex #227, generation 2 (Johto). Skarmory is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 100 HP.

Skarmory sits at 69/108 in Roaring Skies, position 69 of 112. Before it is 68 Dunsparce, and after it is 70 Taillow. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on May 6, 2015. The printed size is 108. This checklist is longer, at 112 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

The attack Call for Family lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Search your deck for up to 2 Basic Pokémon and put them onto your Bench. Shuffle your deck afterward. Blow Through is another attack lists 30+ damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless. If there is any Stadium card in play, this attack does 30 more damage. Weakness is Lightning ×2. Resistance is Fighting -20. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "Despite being clad entirely in iron-hard armor, it flies at speed of over 180 mph."

Skarmory (#227) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 27 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2000 to 2026. The earliest other card is Skarmory 13/111 in Neo Genesis (2000). That card lists 60 HP, and this one lists 100 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Hitoshi Ariga illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 30 other cards of Skarmory list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Hitoshi Ariga. I count 155 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

Roaring Skies set binder is where a full Roaring Skies set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Skarmory can fill a slot in Generation 2 binder (Johto). I still need this card.
