Hypno 51/122 · BREAKpoint

Hypno is Pokédex #097, generation 1 (Kanto). Hypno is a Stage 1 Psychic Pokémon with 90 HP. The card says it evolves from Drowzee. In this catalog that name is Drowzee (#096).

Hypno sits at 51/122 in BREAKpoint, position 51 of 126. Before it is 50 Drowzee, and after it is 52 Espeon-EX. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on February 3, 2016. The printed size is 122. This checklist is longer, at 126 cards. The listed rarity is Rare.

Goodnight, Babies is listed as Ability. Once during your turn (before your attack), you may leave both Active Pokémon Asleep. The attack Zen Headbutt lists 50 damage. The cost is Psychic, Psychic. Weakness is Psychic ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "Seeing its swinging pendulum can induce sleep in three seconds, even in someone who just woke up."

Hypno (#097) has 23 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 20 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Hypno 8/62 in Fossil (1999). Both list 90 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Rare. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Tomokazu Komiya illustrated this one. 17 other cards of Hypno list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Tomokazu Komiya. I count 248 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

BREAKpoint set binder is where a full BREAKpoint set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Hypno can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
