Arceus XY116/211 · XY Black Star Promos

Arceus is Pokédex #493, generation 4 (Sinnoh). Arceus is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 130 HP.

Arceus sits at XY116/211 in XY Black Star Promos, position 117 of 216. Before it is XY115 Shaymin, and after it is XY117 Victini. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on October 12, 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

The attack Type Switch lists no damage number. The cost is Colorless. Choose Grass, Fire, Water, Lightning, Psychic, Fighting, Darkness, Metal, Fairy, or Dragon type. Until the ends of your next turn, this Pokémon is that type. Power Blast is another attack lists 120 damage. The cost is Colorless, Colorless, Colorless, Colorless. Discard an Energy attached to this Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It is told in mythology that this Pokémon was born before the universe even existed."

Arceus (#493) has 34 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 10 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2007 to 2026. The earliest other card is Arceus DP50/56 in DP Black Star Promos (2007). That card lists 90 HP, and this one lists 130 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Kunihiko Yuyama illustrated that card, and Naoki Saito illustrated this one. 32 other cards of Arceus list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads Naoki Saito. I count 270 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

XY Black Star Promos set binder is where a full XY Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Arceus can fill a slot in Generation 4 binder (Sinnoh). I still need this card.
