Ditto XY40/211 · XY Black Star Promos

Ditto is Pokédex #132, generation 1 (Kanto). Ditto is a Basic Colorless Pokémon with 70 HP.

Ditto sits at XY40/211 in XY Black Star Promos, position 40 of 216. Before it is XY39 Kingdra, and after it is XY41 Kyogre-EX. The set belongs to the XY series. It was released on October 12, 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. The listed rarity is Promo.

Metamorphosis Gene is listed as Ability. If this Pokémon is your Active Pokémon, it can use the attacks of your opponent's Active Pokémon. (You still need the necessary Energy to use each attack.) The attack Stick On lists 10 damage. The cost is Colorless. Attach a basic Energy card from your discard pile to this Pokémon. Weakness is Fighting ×2. Retreat cost is 2. The flavor text reads "It has the ability to reconstitute its entire cellular structure to transform into whatever it sees."

Ditto (#132) has 31 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 19 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 1999 to 2026. The earliest other card is Ditto 3/62 in Fossil (1999). That card lists 50 HP, and this one lists 70 HP. The rarity there is Rare Holo, and here it is Promo. Keiji Kinebuchi illustrated that card, and 5ban Graphics illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 1, and here it is 2. 26 other cards of Ditto list a different HP.

The illustrator line reads 5ban Graphics. I count 1,629 other cards in the catalog with that illustrator.

XY Black Star Promos set binder is where a full XY Black Star Promos set goes. This card fills one slot there. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Ditto can fill a slot in Generation 1 binder (Kanto). I still need this card.
