Latias XY78/211 · XY Black Star Promos

XY Black Star Promos is a set in the XY series. It was released on October 12, 2013. The printed size is 211. This checklist is longer, at 216 cards. Latias is XY78/211, in position 79 of 216 on this checklist. Before it is XY77 Dialga, and after it is XY79 Latios. The listed rarity is Promo.

Latias is a Basic Dragon Pokémon with 90 HP. In the Pokédex this is Latias (#380), generation 3 (Hoenn).

Sanosuke Sakuma illustrated this card. The same name is on 158 other cards in the catalog.

Latias (#380) has 33 other cards in the catalog. Those other cards are in 23 sets. The other printings with a release date run from 2003 to 2025. The earliest other card is Latias 14/40 in Nintendo Black Star Promos (2003). That card lists 70 HP, and this one lists 90 HP. Both list the rarity Promo. Ken Sugimori illustrated that card, and Sanosuke Sakuma illustrated this one. Retreat cost there is 2, and here it is 1. 32 other cards of Latias list a different HP.

The attack Eon Connection lists no damage number. The cost is Fire. Draw a card. If Latios is on your Bench, draw 1 more card. Speed Wing is another attack lists 60 damage. The cost is Psychic, Colorless, Colorless. Weakness is Fairy ×2. Retreat cost is 1. The flavor text reads "It can telepathically communicate with people. It changes its appearance using its down that refracts light."

I keep a set binder for XY Black Star Promos, meant to hold every card of that set. This card is one slot in the XY Black Star Promos set binder. A generation binder holds one card of each species. Latias can fill a slot in Generation 3 binder (Hoenn). Themed lists that include this exact card are Latias and Latios. I still need this card.
